Oso was a stray we found on craigslist. The finder reported that he was quite expert at climbing a 6′ fence so perhaps that is how he came to be a stray! At only a couple of years old, he was very well behaved on leash and was housebroken so had obviously been with a family at some point. His first order of business was being “tutored” along with the usual vaccinations and tests. An adoptive couple swept him up and took him to their home where hopefully Oso, now named Bob, will learn that it is much nicer inside the fence than outside. Apparently he has, as they sent us the latest on him: Bob came to us on December 1, 2014 as Oso, with a colorful past of being a “road dog” – one who had lived on the road for a good portion of his 2 years. A minimum amount of history was known, other than his skill set of going over 6-foot block fences! Bob lived up to his history and more! He went over our block fence, bolted out of our house and spent 45 minutes running through our neighborhood followed by us. My husband then decided neighbors on either side of us and across the street should be introduced to our potential ‘juvenile delinquent’ so if he turned up in their yard front or back they would know where he belonged! I do want to say with all of his challenges, Bob has improved 1000%. It appears Bob just needed to settle in to his forever home! We need to also thank AGR for their significant support during our transitional period with Bob; while he is not yet a Canine Good Citizen, he has added joy to our lives and no longer seems attracted to jumping over 6 foot block fences! Sounds like Bob has realized he has it made and has settled in for good! More about Oso/BobGood with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults
