Buddy is a handsome Golden that belonged to an owner who could not afford Buddy’s medical issues and hated to part with him, but knew it was the right thing to do so Buddy could have a long and healthy life. Buddy had been found in Idaho only a few months previously, and the owner knew nothing about him. We took him immediately to our vet, who diagnosed massive ear infections and a torn Achilles tendon. The vet recommended fusing the hock. Buddy’s estimated healing time after surgery was 10-12 weeks with limited activity. An adoptive couple were up to the task of seeing Buddy, whom they renamed Cooper, through his surgery and recovery. A commitment of 10-12 weeks was quite an undertaking for folks who had never met this dog, and we appreciate greatly their desire to do so. We are wishing Cooper and his adopters years and years of happiness together.
