Mini joined her three siblings in coming to us from a family losing their home. She was the youngest of the four dogs, being only 2 years old. Here is a good piece of trivia for you – her name was really Mini Max, as she was named for a brand of pool heater! That is certainly a new one! Like the other dogs, she had not been to the vet for over a year, and so that was her first stop. Since she had already been spayed (surprise, surprise, as we thought she was perhaps a breeding dog), all she needed was her vaccinations and she was ready to roll. Her adopters spirited her off with them where we are sure she will have a long and happy life. They renamed her Emmie. We have an update on her: Our home felt very empty after our Black Lab passed from cancer. We knew that we wanted another dog, the right dog, for our children to grow up with. BJ had a Golden growing up and knew that Goldens were great family dogs. We met with Jim, and he understood our family’s needs and wants perfectly. Waiting was so hard, and Jim kept reminding us that the perfect dog would come around. Finally, Emmie came to AGR and we couldn’t be happier! She is the best! Emmie is very gentle with our 6- and 4-year-olds. She loves going on walks with her Dad and enjoys meeting other dogs (although the little ones make her nervous). She eats lying down and plays hide-and-seek with the kids’ stuffed animals. Emmie loves to follow the humans around the house and then lie at their feet. Thank you AGR for finding Emmie and matching her with our family. We can’t imagine life without her! Sounds like things are going well, wouldn’t you say?
