On Mother's Day Jim and Diane brought Banner, now Bear, to our home.  He was undernourished and very shy and nervous around us but he immediately became fast friends with our resident Golden puppy, Chloe.  What a wonderful gift!  He loves going for walks around the riparian preserve where he sees many bunnies that he dreams of catching one day.  Another favorite past time he has is hunting the lizards that scurry on the block walls in our backyard - another dream that we hope will stay unfulfilled.  And then there is the pool!  It did not take him long at all to fall in love with the pool.  He leaps into the pool with total exuberance!  It is great that he has a "cool" way to use up his puppy energy:)

But, while walks, bunnies, lizards and pools are a lot of fun, what he really loves doing is playing with Chloe!  It is so much fun watching them play together!  They really cooperate with each other - one will hold still and wait for the other to grab the opposite part of a toy to play tug of war.  They really have a great time playing with each other - they are really best friends!

In a little more than a month we have seen Bear really come into his own. He rarely shows any timidness and he is becoming more confident with every day.  We are continuing to work on basic training and now he will even shake your hand!  He trots around with a smile on his face all day long:)

On Mother's Day we welcomed Bear into our home and our hearts.  On Father's Day we celebrated the adoption being finalized and that we have a new perfect forever member of our family.  Thank-you so much Arizona Golden Rescue for bringing Bear to us and for all the support that you have given us!!
