6/23/13 Update! He is growing like a weed and enjoying ranch life. He recently introduced himself to a cow. As you can see, the cow was not intimidated by him one bit. Samson has been with us for 10 weeks and is 7 months old. He is a "very large puppy" and clumsy to boot which makes him really funny to watch. He thinks wake up time is between 4:30 and 5:00 every morning and does not distinguish between Monday through Friday from Saturday to Sunday. In other words, there is no weekend sleep-in time with this happy go lucky fella!

After the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved golden Eby, this past
February, we were pretty determined to not put our hearts out to any more
animals.  However, our family including our other dog Zena and our cat,
Lilly, decided it was very lonely without a Golden in the house.  We
completed an application with AGR and thought "well we will see if a Golden
shows up for us."  Then one Sunday morning, we received a call about Samson.
We met up with one of the wonderful volunteers of AGR, and obviously it was
love at first sight (with Samson that is...)    We have had him for 5 weeks
and he is completely happy puppy and likes to play in his new yard with his
best friend Zena.   He has brought life and love back into our hearts and
home.
