Bo came to us at 4 months of age from a family who loved him but could not take care of possible medical issues. He was quite well trained for being so young and arrived with a box of toys, some good basic manners, and was housetrained. His medical issues were rather quickly resolved, and he was placed with an AGR couple for initial fostering. As happens quite often, they were unable to part with him, and Bo is now officially a member of their family and little brother to Keller. The adopter updates us:

Bo has been a joyful, yet challenging, addition to our home and is proving to be a wonderful little brother to Keller. We were curious how the boys would adjust to each other, and it has been quite a ride. We thought (hoped) that Bo would recognize Keller’s need for guidance as a boy without sight and act accordingly. What a surprise when Keller took Bo’s leash in his mouth to guide Bo! Tug-of-war is a regular event, although it sometimes takes extra effort on Keller’s part, because Bo doesn’t always let him get a firm hold before taking off with the toy. When all is said and done, though, they love to just hang out together, whether playing or napping. Bo’s greatest joy, however, is proving he can reach things that we had been sure were placed out of reach. Even when caught in the act, he manages to make that fun by beginning a game of “catch me if you can.” Good thing he’s so darn cute! While living with a puppy can be a challenge at times, it certainly is never dull, and there is nothing better than a Golden’s love and companionship. We have been truly blessed by our boys!
