Solo was surrendered to MCACCS by his owner along with another small dog because they were moving. AGR received a call stating that he had been put on the e-list due to aggression issues with large dogs. One of our AGR members immediately went down and did an evaluation. Solo was introduced to a very large male dog, and after much sniffing and tail wagging... nothing; the same with a female pit. There was no bristling, snarling, etc. It was concluded that his earlier response was to certain dogs’ aggressive stances with him. We found a wonderful family for Solo, who is now called Shadow. His new family says: Shadow is a very gentle and affectionate guy and has become fast friends with my buddy Bart, a Great Pyrenees from Friends for Life. He loves water, and I discovered that he will swim and roll around in any amount he sees. I want to get him a play pool once he completely heals [from his neutering], which will be soon. He is a great companion, and has been a blessing in helping me through some tough things in my life right now. Thank you, AGR, for Shadow and for all you do for Goldens.
