22-071 Manda (named after Amanda Gorman), born fourth, was also a blonde like Maya but enough darker that Deb could tell the difference without trying to find the fur-clipped area. Manda and Maya were within an ounce in weight and both considerably smaller than any of the boys – not surprising because Momma Sophia is quite small for a female Golden (weighed only 34 pounds after whelping and is still small at about 45 pounds). Manda was the happiest of all the puppies, always smiling and wagging her tail. She was the cuddliest and bestowed kisses on any face that was close to hers. Her family, an adoptive couple in Phoenix, had adopted year-old Sam from AGR in 2020, and they were looking forward to providing a female companion for him. They changed the puppy’s name to Delilah (to go with Samson) and recently related: 

We have had Lilah over 3 months now and she has grown so much! She's almost as big as our 3-year-old golden, Sam. She's really smart and learns new things quickly – she knows "sit", "down" and "wait" before her meals. She loves going to the dog park with Sam, riding in the car, and meeting new people. When she gets tired from running, her tongue hangs out of the side of her mouth and looks so cute! She and Sam wrestle and play all day, then nap when they've tired each other out. When she jumps on our bed in the morning she steps all over us! She doesn't realize her size and needs to learn that people are not for climbing on! Lilah loves to chase balls and butterflies, or anything else that flies. We are so glad that Lilah is a part of our lives!
