Sherry was discovered to be the original name of this pretty 3-year-old Golden. She was renamed Goldie Hawn by the Arizona Humane Society, which had confiscated her from a back yard with numerous other dogs that had inadequate food, water and shade. She was limping and the AHS suspected that she had a cruciate ligament tear. The ligament problem was confirmed by the orthopedic vet and surgery was done to correct the problem. Shortly thereafter, Placement found a new home for her with an adoptive couple. This wonderful couple had adopted a crippled dog, 17-003 Jessie, from AGR and brought her back to full mobility after surgery to correct a congenitally crooked leg, so we were confident they would be able to rehab Goldie Hawn correctly and completely. They have, and have renamed this spunky girl Pepper. Pepper had her 8-week-post-surgery consultation where X-rays showed “bony union” and implants in place. She has good range of motion and is now bearing weight normally on her leg. Pepper is now big sister and best friends with Jessie, who is now about 1 ½ years old. Happy playtime, girls!
