Guinan, now KC, is a 7-month-old adorable female Golden. This ball of energy came into Rescue because of a change in the owner’s work schedule. She received her vetting where she was made current on vaccinations, including the leptospirosis vaccines. Her valley fever and heartworm tests were negative; however, she would require spay surgery. This youngster is enjoying her new home with an adoptive couple and resident Golden, Murphy. The adopters relayed:

We had adopted our sweet Murphy (now 2½ years old) from AGR when he was just 3 months old. He has been such a joy in our lives that we decided to adopt a little sister for him. When KC was surrendered, we offered to become fosters-with-intent-to-adopt (FWITAs), even though she is a little younger and spunkier than we had originally hoped for. At only 7 months old, she thinks she is the Alpha, and is a little spitfire. Our Murphy is too easy-going to correct her rude behavior, but thanks to AGR Behaviorist we have been shown the proper way to step in and take control when play turns to torment. All in all, KC is a quick learner, and sweet, and smart. She loves to take early morning walks. I think her favorite thing to do, besides play, is to eat! She came to us severely underweight, but once she started eating quality food, she gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks, and her ribs and hip bones are no longer sticking out. She is a healthy, happy, thin girl now. Another wonderful success story, thanks to AGR.
