Lady is a 3-year-old Golden mix. The owner’s daughter had developed an allergy to the dog, so the dog had to go. She had apparently been used as a breeding dog, but puppies in the August 2018 litter had genetic defects, so she was taken out of the breeding program. She was reportedly good with children and with other dogs. Our transporter who drove Lady to her new home with her adopters told us: Lady is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever seen. She rode very quietly in the back area from the vet's office to her adoptive home, occasionally resting her beautiful head on my shoulder. Once there, she was greeted by a Welcome sign on the front door. She met the adorable little 2x2 (2 feet long, 2 feet wide) Spaniel with no issues at all. Both of their tails were wagging the whole time I was there and they even galloped around the house together. I advised the family on a diet plan for Midnight – they have been feeding that little dog a cup of Pedigree food 2 times a day and can’t understand why she won’t lose weight!

The adopter related: Lady’s teats are getting less swollen-looking, still hanging down quite a bit but getting better. Yes she is really sweet – my mother was ready to take her home with her today, she just adores her like the rest of us do. Lady is getting in lots of walks and has been playing with my 4-year-old grandson and also playing good with Midnight. She even jumped up on my husbands’ recliner and snuggled up with him as well. A couple weeks later the adopter said: Everything is great with Lady, she has settled in very fast and very well with our family. She even plays with Midnight now, running around and chasing each other around, it is good to see Midnight running around again, she gets tired pretty quick but she loves it! Midnight is eating the green beans with her food too without any problems. Lady is just so loving and both dogs will give each other a kiss or two and lick each other a bit. She has gone with me to run a couple errands and seems to like being in the car. Happy new life, Lady.
