Learn more about the Golden Retriever.
Hiccup, now called Dillon, is a handsome reddish-gold, just-turned-four-year-old Golden male. His owner was sad to rehome this lovely Golden. However, due to a change in work hours he was unable to give him the time and attention he so rightly deserved. Hiccup, named after the dragon in How To Train Your Dragon, visited one of our wonderful veterinary partners, and his vaccines were updated including Bordetella and leptospirosis. Also, his heartworm and valley fever tests were negative. His adopter and resident Golden, Shelby, were thrilled to have an addition to their family. She related: "From the moment Dillon entered our house, he has been the perfect dog! He is so very well behaved, knows many commands including how to “Jump” on command, loves his toys, absolutely loves to fetch anything, loves to ride in the car, and walks pretty well on the leash. He and my female Golden, Shelby, play numerous times during the day, and Dillon has readily picked up on our daily routine. He has already gone to several AGR events and is a wonderful ambassadog for AGR with his donation vest. I’ve also taken Dillon to the memory care facility to visit my husband, and Dillon does very well with visiting the residents there. He can be comical and hasn’t done a single thing wrong in the house, other than he most always snores when he sleeps, which I oddly find comforting! Shelby loves her new younger brother, and I am very blessed to have received this perfect boy, Dillon, whom I just love!" Other Pictures of Hiccup/Dillon (click to see larger version):
