Pope Francis, now Watson, is a handsome 5-year-old male Goldendoodle. His owner was very sad to relinquish his buddy; however, he had recently moved to an apartment. The apartment was near a hospital, and Pope Francis was terrified of the continuous loud noise from the sirens and helicopters. His incessant barking did not go over well with his neighbors – he needed a new home with a quiet home environment. He received his vetting at one of our partner veterinarians and was in excellent health except for the need to lose a few pounds. He also received the leptospirosis vaccines that all dogs do coming into AGR. Pope hit the jackpot when he was ecstatically welcomed into the home of his adopter and her pack in Glendale. She relayed: Watson actually added himself to the pack, joining Trip, Reba, Emma and McKayla. He wasn’t too sure about being here to begin with and stayed close to the front door, ready to leave. He gradually realized that this could be a fun place to live: good food, good dog friends and lots of attention. Watson is a big, friendly, cuddly sweet dog who comes with a BIG bark. He makes a great watch dog, and I doubt anyone really wants to see who is that loud on the other side of the door. He can be left free to roam with the other dogs when I leave the house and has never chewed, destroyed or caused an issue, unlike one dog that shall remain nameless. He hasn’t yet mastered playing with toys but has enjoyed trying out every chair, bed and high spot in the house. Rescued dogs are the best! As is the perfect home!
