Joy is another pretty, young dog turned over to us by an older woman who, although she had owned Joy since puppyhood, was in a serious car crash and felt that Joy needed a home that would truly take good care of her. The owner faced a long recuperation period, and Joy was just too active for her. Joy is the typical young Golden, loving everyone and everything, especially the pool and pool toys! The only time she ever growled at anything was at a lion before and during a TV movie! An adoptive family were totally thrilled to take her in, and in the first 24 hours reported how wonderful she is, that they had fallen in love with her, and that she was fitting right in with their pack. They sent us an update:

We can’t tell you how lucky we feel to have Joy as the new member of our family. She is such a beautiful, smart, and lovable companion. Her name couldn’t be more perfect! It took a couple of weeks for us to learn Joy’s language, but she is a very smart girl, and she taught us in a fairly short amount of time. Now we are in a great rhythm, and are understanding each other beautifully. She is such a friendly doggie, always eager to say hello to other people and dogs on her morning walks. She loves, loves, loves swimming in our pool and retrieving her water Frisbee. She gets along so well with our boys, having just the right mix of playfulness and gentleness. It’s almost like she knows she’s the “new little sister” in the family. She has an extreme fascination with shadows and light reflections. She could entertain herself (and us) for hours with the reflection off her own shiny tag! We could not be happier with the sweet “Joy” that AGR brought into our lives .
