Sunshine was only 3 months old when she was surrendered to AGR because her family had lost their home to foreclosure, and living in a much smaller place was wreaking havoc with the husband’s allergies. Sunshine’s mother, Sage, was our next rescue. This sweet puppy was kept overnight by Deb, taken to the vet the next day for vaccinations, then transported to her new home with the adopters and their teenaged sons. They commented: We’re still debating on Lucy or Libby [they settled on Libby]. She is a real sweetheart; we LOVE her! I’m teaching her manners; she listens, minds, and is eager to please. She loves to lie on my feet and cuddle up while I work on my laptop at home; wants to be by my side all the time. She and one of our cats (the older, more skittish one!) have met several times and no issues, just stare at each other, still figuring out what’s going on… The younger cat was the one chased around the house and barked at by another Golden on a play date last week, so he’s a little slower at wanting to meet the puppy. He comes downstairs and looks through the gate, but I know he’ll be fine with time… Not rushing it. The latest report is that everyone has settled in well. Happy new life, Libby!
