23-065 June and 23-066 Johnny, 5-month-old Golden/Lab mixes, were surrendered together. The owner had adopted June and her brotherJohnny from a private owner and had them for 2-and-1⁄2 months. Both dogs were chewing everything from furniture to anything they could get in their mouths. The wife works full time, the husband is working more hours and they do not have time to train the puppies. June was described as reserved, sweet, passive and a princess; Johnny as active, playful, affectionate, and cuddlier than June. Both dogs were quite unsocialized, though, acting very frightened and shy when picked up for transport. They did not appear to be especially bonded, so we adopted them to different families. June had a fairly easy time adjusting because her new family in Gilbert had an old dog, Emma, who has became best friends with June. The adopter reported that June has settled down some, although she still has a lot of puppy energy. She is so much fun!
