23-001 Pepper , now called  Chena , is a 10-month-old female black Golden doodle who looks like a black Golden Retriever. Both parents were Doodles, but the Golden genes are much more apparent in  Pepper  – although black, she has the Golden coat and sheds. She was surrendered because her owner developed uncontrollable allergies.  Pepper  was described as a very sweet, goofy, playful girl who loves attention. She likes to go on walks, rides well in a car, has been to dog parks and got along with the resident Chihuahua. She was house broken and crate-trained. Her owners were very sad to have to give her up. Placement contacted 5 families that had specified Goldendoodle on their applications before they found an adoptive couple who really wanted her. They renamed her  Chena  and she has worked out well with them. Although a little wary of strangers,  Chena  warms up quickly.  AGR  had her spayed before the family moved to their second home in Alaska for the summer.
