22-033 Nahla , a 3-year-old spayed Golden/Lab mix, was surrendered to  AGR  in May 2022 by an owner who claimed he did not have time for the dog. The owner and wife were working long hours, so they left  Nahla  outdoors because if inside she would chew on wall corners and baseboards. She needed some vaccines but had no other health issues. She was placed with an adoptive couple in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix where she has worked out well. Recently they said: 

We changed her name to  Delilah . She came to us shortly after we lost our other Golden,  Blake , to cancer. We did not expect to get another dog so soon, but  Jolene  (our now 2-year-old Golden) really missed  Blake  and needed a new playmate.  Delilah  and  Jolene  are a match made in heaven.  Delilah  is very playful, and she is the one whose instigates the roughhousing most of the time even though she is the older of the two. She is a smart girl and came to us already knowing how to sit, shake and stay. She makes herself very comfortable on the couch if we are watching TV and can tell time, especially when it comes to eating. She is quite verbal and there is no mistaking when she is letting us know it is dinnertime!
