Josh, now Wrigley Bear, is an 8-month-old Golden/Aussie mix who is still a youngster. This sweetie was found with two other dogs under a fifth wheel. He ended up in the Pinal County Animal Shelter and naturally our Transport angels came to the rescue! This boy was in desperate need of vetting and was discovered he had tapeworms; so was treated with an injection of Droncit. He had received his vaccinations at the shelter but still required neuter surgery and a microchip. He did develop a cough and his valley fever titer was positive, so he started on medication to combat this nasty disease. Wrigley was to make his new home with an adoptive family, who told us:

"Wrigley came to us in July 2017 through AGR as a homeless Arizona stray. He wasn’t feeling so good, and he was hungry and dehydrated. Today, Wrigley is thriving. He has gained a healthy amount of weight, his paws are no longer rough and dry, and his coat is shiny and soft. He’s totally enjoying life! Wrigley’s story continues to intrigue us, and we feel so lucky to call him our own. He is cuddly and playful and so gentle with all the kids in our family. In training, Wrigley is the example student. The teacher performs various commands with Wrigley to show the rest of the class how it’s done! He is very smart and works hard for treats and belly rubs. He’s so smart, in fact, that when he wakes up in the morning, he expects that everyone else should, too. You want to sleep in? Well, Wrigley will be sure to bark, paw at your hand, wake you with kisses, and maybe even pull on your arm to tell you it’s time to rise and shine! Wrigley has brought so much love and so many giggles into our home. Some of Wrigley’s hobbies include walks around his neighborhood, hanging out with his best dog buddy, Hershey, going to work with Dad, watching Chicago Cubs and Bears games, and napping just about anywhere he can find a spot. Wrigley is also an avid hiker, and many folks on the trails comment on his beautiful coloring and sweet demeanor. Some say Wrigley hit the jackpot with us, but truthfully, we feel it was we who won big. Thank you, AGR, for bringing this amazing boy into our home!
