Sunny, now known as Molly, is a 9-week-old adorable Golden. This little bundle of love was abandoned at the vet because she was sick. She had diarrhea and was tested for parvo – fortunately she was negative. She also could not stand and seemed to be having pain in the hip and leg area. The vet’s office contacted AGR to ask if we could assist this little girl. Of course, AGR came to the rescue of this youngster! Sunny was whisked away to Animal Medical & Surgical Center in Scottsdale for a complete evaluation. The vet diagnosed Sunny with puppy strangles. She was quickly treated with antibiotics, prednisone and pain medication. Next, X-rays were completed that showed growth plate/joint inflammation which is indicative of hypertropic osteodystrophy. She was then off to her foster home to recuperate. When the prednisone was finished, she was given her puppy vaccinations and was dewormed. Now it was time to find her forever home! Molly is happy to have an adoptive family and resident dog, Snowflake. They related: "She’s 5 months old now and she’s apparently going to be a little girl! She plays with her sister Snowflake ALL DAY long! You would never know she was sick. She’s feisty and runs circles around all of us! Where she gets her energy from I have NO idea! She loves to chase balls, go swimming and chew up any toy or shoe she can get her mouth on! She also LOVES food! Gotta watch out for her! Thank you AGR!"
