Burt is just over a year old and a very handsome red boy. He was surrendered because the husband in the household developed severe allergies and they were having to keep Burt isolated, which they knew was not fair to him. The owners reported him to be sweet, loving, and very smart, although on the shy side. He needs his confidence built up, as he is very submissive. He loves children, Frisbees and balls, and his very favorite thing in the world is swimming. We found Burt the perfect forever home with an adoptive family who told us: Burt is a friendly and energetic soul; he has transitioned into our family very smoothly. He and Charlie, our super-friendly, happy-go-lucky Lab, have become more than best friends – some may refer to them as brothers from another mother. Burt loves to swim and jump on anything and everything in the pool including people. Burt is good at jumping. He has grown a love for our adult daughter who loves to hold him like a baby, a forty-pound baby! No allergies in this family! We’re glad that Burt has such a great home now.
