Blondie is a beautiful 1 year old cream Golden Doodle who favors the retriever lines. She is on the smaller size at 43 pounds. Blondie was returned to the breeder by her first family due to chewing. She was a puppy and the family was unwilling to work with her. She was placed in 2 more homes and returned again. The breeder's relative agreed to take her and brought her with them when they moved to AZ. They decided they did not have the time to work with her and called Arizona Golden Rescue. We found her a loving home (her 5th in her short life) but unfortunately she was able to chew and dig her way out of a crate and xpen and sadly the family had to return her for her own safety. So on to her 6th home and all was going well until her Mom had to begin traveling for work. She has been back with her foster Mom again since December. She saw her through her spay and has been working with Blondie. She has made some progress and is fine as long as she can be with someone and has them in her line of sight. She is perfect on the leash, does not pull, stops and sits when you stop and happily greets everyone and everything she meets. Blondie told us her story: I have been with my foster family for 2 weeks and 3 days, and what an adventure and time it has been for me! Since I stepped paw in this home, I have made 4 new K9 friends that I just love and adore and who make me feel so safe and confident. I used to get very anxious when my humans would leave the house and chew things up, but I have never felt that way since being with my new pack of friends – they just seem to “complete” me. My favorite new friend is Zane. I just love him, and he likes to play with me as much as I do with him. He has taught me how to be more secure and confident, and he even sleeps with me at times – I think I have wiggled my way in. Then there is this little guy called Woody – he is so much fun to play with and he lets me share his “human” bed with him. My foster mom told me the other day, that since I have been here, I have been such a big positive influence on my other friends – wow, that’s neat! Connor, who has never really played with another dog, plays with me a little bit. In fact, I did notice when I first got here, Connor avoided me and yelled if I got too close to his face. I have been able to kiss his face a few times now. I guess Zane never really got the chance to play with anybody due to him being a bit rougher in play – doesn’t bother me at all, and I have actually taught him how to play at a calmer level, so we have so much fun together. I am so happy here! I go on hikes, long walks, car rides and have a backyard that I just love to play in and so enjoy being able to come and go through that little door within the big door, such freedom! I have been in 6 different homes in my short 1.2 years of life and have found this one to be a home I want to call my own. I have decided to adopt this family/pack!
