Deena, now Riley, is a 3-year-old Golden mix who is a sweetie. She started her journey sadly at the Eastside MCACCS shelter. However, the future would start to look brighter as soon as the wonderful volunteers from AGR came to the rescue! Riley was whisked off to the vet where she was brought up to date on her vaccines and received a thorough exam before it was time to search for her forever home. During the discovery process, it was deemed that Riley was the type of girl who would do best in a household where she was the only canine in the home, as she had had been reactive towards other dogs. Riley found her new home with an adoptive couple. The AGR talented behaviorist worked with Riley and her family extensively to have Riley become more social – firmly controlled exposure to other dogs has seemingly done the trick. She is now well on her way to becoming a canine good citizen. We couldn’t be happier for this family!
