24-052 Tully is a 6-year-old Goldendoodle who came to AGR in July 2024. The owner said they have two small children (a 4-month-old baby and a 2-year-old toddler) and they no longer have time to take him on hikes or do all the things they did with him during their four years before kids. Although he was already neutered, Tully needed all our standard vetting with vaccinations, heartworm test and valley fever test. The three adults in the adoptive household have work shifts that complement each other and help Tully get attention and exercise from each of them. The woman is home in the morning. The son gets home at 11 AM and spends time with Tully until the dad gets home at 5 PM and takes over the play routine. Tully loves to play ball and shows his retriever side by continually bringing the ball back and dropping it at the son's feet. They will be allowing Tully on the furniture and bed. This home will provide Tully with much love, and between the son's walks and the swimming pool Tully will get the exercise he needs. They wrote: Wow, what a perfect dog! Tully is crazy about fetching balls and loves to swim in the pool! He knows so many one-word commands, I believe he understands everything we say. When we adopted Tully, they had said his previous family didn’t allow him on the furniture or let him sleep in their bed – we broke him of that bad habit the first night. We love Tully so much and are very happy he is part of our family. Thank you to Arizona Golden Rescue!
